Making a leather cover for a book. December 23, 2018 grogan I’m just going to post some images of things we can do very easily: Instead of keeper loop on the outside, the leather can just slide in under the cover through a slit. This would be the smoothest option. We have snaps, rivets, jean buttons, lots of different types of hardware. The simplest is just a leather strap that attaches at the back and wraps around. The leather is bound through the cover, giving it some more stability. The leather can be longer to wrap around or some sort of button or snap can be used. This was just interesting. Using hardware meant for purses to close it: 2 d-rings and a clip. (Ignore the stitching on the spine. Those pages are bound to that cover.) Another very basic closure. I’m just looking through Pinterest for other easy examples.
